The “Protect Medicaid Act” would prevent federal funds from being used to administer state Medicaid benefit programs provided to non-citizens by American citizens. Under this Act, if a state opts to extend Medicaid benefits to undocumented residents, that state would bear full financial responsibility without imposing any costs on taxpayers in other states.
